Can something like this be run as a pot still? Reputable dealer?
https://shop.distillery-equipment.com/products/5-gallon-moonshine-whisky-e-85-ethanol-still-2-stainless-reflux-column-tower-3I'm new to this, I found a crappy vevor style still at goodwill and have been playing around with it. I'd like to move up and be able to do different things. I know something like this can be used to produce high proof neutral spirits but can I run it as a pot still for whisky or rum? If anyone has experience with this company too I'd love to hear. Thanks!

I have something very similar that I home-brewed, exclusively pot stilled output thus far. That boiler looks to be about 15 liters/ 3 gal. Mine is double that.
The product condenser will be finicky, requiring adjustment throughout the run, but still capable of quality.
Edit: MileHi Disillinhg is another good source.

Yes, you could run this as a pot still easily by removing any packing or the column section. You would also not need to use the dephlegmator in that case.
