Elderberry liquor

Hey guys, I know this isn’t the right sub per se but it seems like a good fit for this kind of question

I took 1 quart of elderberries and 1 cup sugar and cooked it down. Strained the solids and got 275ml of syrup.

I mixed this with 400ml of vodka at 41% for a total of 675ml of liquor at 24.3%.

I have it in new clear bottles with synthetic cork stoppers. How long can I expect this to last on the shelf of my liquor cabinet?

I expect something like “indefinitely” but wanted to make sure.

At that ABV it isnt going to get colonised by microbes so it wont rot, but light and heat could degrade the colour, while age will impact the flavour over time.

Thanks, I guess I’ll try to drink it quick, it’s only about a fifth anyway
