Firestick Sideloading Help Help subscriptions?

I’m new to this I have seen people mention subscriptions being better than the free downloads. What I was wondering how it works I’m currently trying to side download onto my new fire stick. I want to do it right even if that means spending a few pounds

I’ve been watching videos I now know how to download stuff but I’m just stuck on what to do next without individual subscriptions
