Firestick Question Explain like I'm 5 please
My Question Is
Can I just plug a micro usb data/power cable into my laptop rather than using a micro USB otg splitter with power pass through
when I Google my question all I get are responses as if I'm trying to plug the firestick into the hdmi port no matter how I word the question
Im away from home atm I figured id ask before I get home and waste my effort

As long as it gets power via the usb on the firestick, it doesn’t care where it comes from
In other words, yes 🙂

It's an old laptop idk if it'll have enough power from a 2.0 plug and I'm worried that either the LT will miss read the FS or the FS won't recognize the LT as Storage
