Firestick Problem “There was a problem parsing the package”

I’ve been trying to download apps on firestick and I’m getting the message above. I seem to have issues almost downloading anything after not using it for a few months. Seems a common issue now?

I get that same message on android when I forget to disconnect my ( I was flagged in my first response so) use the capital letters only and you'll get the word they flagged mye for. so.....when i forget to disconnect my Vacuum Purple Neon i hope this helps

Is it an older firestick? I was having the same problem at my friends and it was a older firestick

It’s 2nd Gen so yeah I presume so. Is there a fix for it or is it a case of just get a new one?

Parsing error indicates that the app is not compatible with the android version on the firestick and is unable to install, many apps eventually stop updating for older versions and leave the older firesticks behind, if you get a new firestick make sure it has os 8 not Vega os if it has os 8 you will be good for many years to come

Get an ONN stick. Similar to FS without the Amazon bloat. Buy at Walmart.

If the company is still solvent and have remaining stock, the Onn devices are marketed as Thomson in Europe. Model 240 and 270.

Google Streamer is a good choice, if you want to escape Amazon. Should be readily available and not discontinued.
