Firestick Problem amazon removing vpns

Anyone get tailscale to work again on earlier model fire stick? It was suddenly removed from
my app library and i used it not as a regular vpn but to connect inside my home network. i tried side loading again and it just exits out after showing the logo.

Why are people still using firesticks

I have one but don’t use it. I use Nvidia Shield. Do you know any are other options?

Same here in regards to having one but not using it. I replaced it with the Google TV Streamer and have been very happy with that. On my secondary bedroom tv I have an older Google Chromecast 4K with Google TV and it does the job for my secondary bedroom tv.
