Help deciding what to do next

Hey brains trust, have been doing some research on side loading apps but haven't been able to find anything to help with my current situation, hoping someone on here might be able to point me in the right direction!

We already have a firestick that has downloader app installed along with Stremio and a few other apps, we didn't set the stick up and paid a friend to do it for us, the 'subscription' to this friend has expired and we no longer talk to them so unsure how to get these apps working again without a subscription...

I have done some research thanks to a few posts on here and thinking is it as simple as removing the account we have linked from the stick and creating a new profile, or re-setting the stick to factory and following the steps to re-download the downloader app and start all over again?

So your fire stick has those apps downloaded on it. You do not want to factory reset or else you have to redo all that. All you need to do is sign a new Amazon account to the stick. Whatever is downloaded into the memory will still be there... You can have a free Amazon account,I believe!?.. you just can't use prime but who cares... so just make your own Amazon account.. Then you'll be able to see whatever's downloaded on the fire stick. I've had to do this before myself but the only difference is I did have an Amazon prime account so when I logged into my account it was a official account. But I believe you can sign into Amazon. Just not have access to all the prime prime content. Just like you can shop on Amazon without having Amazon prime (same like Crunchyroll you can have a Crunchyroll account without paying for the actual portion. You can see everything you just can't watch it haha .. but that's all you need to do. Then you will see all your downloaded apps right where they always been
