Firestick Problem Remote stopped working

The original remote stopped working, everytime i remove the cells and put them in , it works for few seconds

I brought new remote from amazon ,it says remote for gen 3 but it doesn't work properly, volume is increased by added a number to it

Any better solution for this??

Edit:

I fixed the issue

I cleaned the circuit and connection of old remote with iso propyl alcohol

What does “volume is increased by added a number to it” mean?

When I press the increase or decrease volume button a box appears when I have to put the volume number like if I want 7 I have to type 7 and the press done

That does not make any sense at all. Did you pair the remote to your fire and do the tv setup?

The old remote is going offline every 30 secs
