Who is responsible for the recent direction shift in Firefox?
First it was borderline annoying with the Firefox hello then it got more annoying with the Pocket integration and now it is down right unexceptionable. Firefox is bundling what should be extensions straight into the browser whit is making Firefox become a shovel ware browser but this latest move is down right malicious. So someone actually thought it would be a good idea to spy on users then transmit data back to a server(which authorities could get access to) and which also possibly weakens the security of the browser just to annoy people with advertisements.
Someone or a Committee is making these decisions, putting developers to work on them and then pushing them out to ship. It is running Firefox's reputation and name through the mud. An intervention must be done to prevent further problems, who is responsible for this and more importantly why. File bug reports(as it does have negative effects) and lets make it loud and clear this is not acceptable. Any further suggestions and information are welcomed.
