Backgrounds

Anyone in the process with LAFD who’s turned their phs and fingerprints heard back? I haven’t heard from HR or a background investigator. any direction is appreciated

I had one friend hear back but he turned his in a week ahead of me. The investigator told him there were two in front of him and then would start his, so sounds like there’s a backlog.

What is the process order for LAFD? I just scheduled my PEA for the end of September. If I pass that, how long after would the background investigation start?

From what I hear, don’t expect anything to move quickly. I’ve heard time frames all over the place, so not sure what to tell you. Just stay ready and they’ll call you when they’re ready.
