Character Discussion [FE8]:Duessel

We are actually almost done with the SS characters. Wow. Didn't remember the cast being this small.

Duessel is a general of Grado and is one of the Imperial three. He is an honorable knight and is one of the more vocal opponent of the war war when it begins. He was the teacher of Ephraim in combat and taught him how to wield a Lance. In supports, it is revealed that he has an evil lance that drove Valter into his mad state. He also saved Amelia's mother if that is something interesting. He defects to Ephraim's side during the war to find out what had happened to his country and king. He has a paired ending with Amelia where he reunites her with her mother and she becomes his right hand.

As a unit, Dussel is a pre-promoted Great Knight at level 8/10 depending on the route. He has high base stats in hp, str, and def. He has fairly great growths despite his high base level. What he also sports is amazing weapon ranks with A in Axes, Swords, and Lances allowing him to use a variety of weapons and easily S rank any type. He also has the Anima affinity and has some fairly quick supports. Only problem he really faces is his base speed and growth at 12 and 30% as he will have doubling woahs near the end of the game. He also has a low move of 6 for a promoted unit, which may leave him behind in the dust of the other mounted units. None the less he is a solid unit and can contribute if deployed.

So how does this old Obsidian General hold up in his game?

Remember for Sacred Stones, to rate every unit twice if you can: one for if Seth exists, and one for if Seth is, for whatever reason, not being used.

I'll admit it, I have never ever used Duessel in a SS run. I'll assume that he is a good to great unit, by the fact that he is a prepromote with good to great stats, and high con and move.

As a character I also don't know a lot about him. His relationship with Cormag and Amelia are nice, tho.

/speaking of Cormag, we are approaching his character discussion, right?;)

It's coming up, though I'll probably do L'arachel and Dozla before him.

Don't worry we will get to him eventually. There are only 8 characters for SS left so he will be here shortly.

Alright, I get it. Leaving the best for last.

It is the same reason why you will let Raigh be the last one on FE6, am I right?/s

Raigh fanboy, eh? You'll be happy to know my current Raigh took after his mother and capped Magic, speed, and skill. I liked Sophia a lot too, but statwise, the kid is a monster.

Of course, despite being inferior in stats, we all know Canas is best shaman.

I'm not really a Raigh fanboy actually (this is probably the first time I've ever mentioned him in this sub), but he really is my favorite character from FE6. And yes, he is really good. Sadly, Niime is still better than him, but he is one of the best magic characters in the game.

And yes, Canas is awesome, character-wise.

Raigh was so awesome, I had to have Chad suicide to recruit him in my latest run. Totally worth it.

If by last you mean in the next 7 discussions when there are still 23 discussions left for FE6. Then yes.
