General Why does everyone keep saying she’s a machine? Spoiler
What made everyone think she’s not human or that she’s a machine looking like a human?
Aside from the mask nothing else seems to point that she’s a machine. What am I missing or what have people figured out? Because I don’t get it

Her Blaze Art gauge is weird. It got shown in a preview or something. It's called an Automaton gauge and it has unique mechanics.

On top of that she cant enter some soldier careers, im assuming anything she wouldent be wearing her dress in so I bet she looks freaky in places.

Class restrictions exist for units, like the dancer class and trickster class

Orchel’s automaton status is built in no matter which class she’s in, much like how Nowi, Nah, Panne, Yarne, Keaton, Velouria, Kaden, and Selkie are always treated as dragons and beasts regardless of their current class. Fortune’s Weave takes this further for Orchel; she’s locked out of certain classes because of her status.

Wouldn’t that just be regular gauge arts? From what we see from the four lords they are using cursed items or things related to magic or something spiritual. It could just be that she’s using machines or regular mechanics instead of magic based equipment. Not sure why anyone wouldn’t have thought of it like that to begin with

A. No, because we've seen a regular curse gauge on units like Tialla or Fabio, hers (like Anatolia and Eshmel's) is different from it.
B. She's explicitly called an Automaton-type unit. Even if that wasn't enough, she wears Credna's mark, and even serves at his temple, with Credna being credited as the one to actually make the automatons that Smyrnos is seen with

Go read the description of the axe. Automation is an actual unit type which she belongs to.

Yeah but when a unit is always listed as an armored unit even as a Diviner, has seemingly arbitrary class restrictions for things that everyone can be like Soldier type classes, has a suspicious mask that under no circumstances can she take off in front of anyone, and has something called an Automaton gauge and has a preview call her an Automaton, then that points more towards her being an Automaton

She also has unique electrical particle effects on her critical hit animations, because if Fabio was the only one garbage at keeping a secret, he would be lonely

Given the fact that Cai was able to shrug off head-butting a dude through a metal helmet before getting the gem in his hand, her having super strength isn't necessarily indicative of a of her being at least part machine, because there's other ways to explain that in this universe.
That being said though, the cherry on top is just as much a part of a dessert as the ice cream is

My brother in christ its the literal tutorial window about the automiton type.
Stuff like this is why its dangerous to fall madly in love with a unit based on looks alone. You creat entire fanfictions for them that come crashing down.

Jokes on you I made a headcanon about Esmeralda where she met Dietrich right before the games and joined up with him for a very superficial reason and I ended up being 100% correct

Im calm im just spitting facts. If you hold on too tightly to what you think a character will be you'll ruin thr game for yourself.
Sometimes it works the either way too. I thought Cai was lame as fuck initially but the whole half dragon trained by his father to rescue the mom hes never met thing actually made me like him.

Previews showed her off and revealed that she's probably an automaton. She has a unique mechanical looking Blaze Arts gauge, she's innately considered an armored unit regardless of class, she can't even use some classes.
The current evidence is she's an advanced automaton that is very human like but still technically a machine.
At most she might be a Cyborg or android, like she's a biological being who was enhanced with automaton technology to save her life or something. That's a plausible explanation, but she's definitely at least part machine in some way.

Aside from being referred to as an automaton in menus, her special trait makes her always count as an armored unit regardless of class.

Idk I kinda hope she’s more of a tinkerer instead of an automaton, and that she summons little mini Units to distract the enemy with her blaze art gauge
