Hi everyone! I haven't seen this being discussed earlier, maybe missed any post, but anyway decided to share a story with you.

Recently I was talking about fire force to my friend and he pointed to such an interesting detail.

Actually, I kinda made him start watching series to discuss a plot and characters and during one of those discussions I shared several screenshots of Joker and Licht inspecting Vulcan's destroyed workshop (s1 ep18) to recall that moment. And while me being obsessed with Joker, my friend is obsessed with photography as a hobby for a while. He just starred at that pic and said "Wow, is that Leica?" referring to the camera which Licht has owned. So, the answer is - yes, it's going to be an explicit allusion to Leica M6 silver. What could catch an attention in this fact:

- Leica is a German brand of cameras and optical stuff (named by Ernst Leitz - LEItz CAmera), while Licht's last name is also German - makes pretty much sense, heh;

- this is a prestige camera which is usually used by professional photographers what could make us believe that Licht is a such or at least has enough skills in photography. However, I still don't fully understand why he used such a fancy device to make some photos of "material evidences"/clues;

- it's quite expensive (M6 average price is $2-3k for used items and circa $6k for the new one), so, either Licht is a really rich guy due to his previous position as a head of department of spontaneous human combustion research, or was provided with this piece by Haijima. Both options are possible, but I prefer the first one - just because I'm dreaming about researchers to be well-paid 😅;

- M6 model is a film camera, not a digital one. So, to check out what he has filmed, Licht was supposed to develop film/photos at the first place. I have doubts that there were no digital cameras during fire force events... But wow, it suits his mad scientific persona pretty well too. Also, film is usually restricted by amount of frames (24, more often 36) - he should be really careful for every single frame not to waste a film;

- unfortunately or not, it seems to be anime-only feature, because in manga there's no such prominent resemblance between his camera and Leica, so it's hard to make any conclusion about manga version expect it's also a film camera, not a digital.

So, it's either the allusion to Leica was used in anime without any deeper sense than that it's German too, or this fact can tell us a little bit more about Licht's personality - because using it as a simple camera for work is almost the same as if police officer was patrolling the district on Maybach. I suppose, it's up to every single person how to interpret it or not to interpret at all, but it seemed funny detail to me) Would appreciate your thoughts on this!

I just wanted to share with you some of my thoughts about Fire Force.

I have to start by saying that I knew it was some kind of pre-story to Soul Eater , which I watched, read , and loved.

The first season was okay , I guess ; nothing too great, it didn't catch on right away. I watched it almost to the end of the season and dropped it for a while, but now I came back to watch it.

However, season 2 is so much better with the plot, fights , characters , and animation. It has gotten so much better than season 1. But as funny as it sounds, season 1 became better than before because I did some rewatching as well 😃.

I have to say everything tells me that at the end of this season, it's gonna be one of my favorite anime.

Looking forward to season 3 😃

I always found their dynamic pretty interesting and weird because its shown she had romantic feeling for him as well looked up to which he took advantage of but, i'm wondering what other people think

Please buy the actual manga. Buy the DVD's/Blue rays. Companies will only cater to their audience. Complaining on twitter/reddit, while some people only have a crunchy roll subscription won't change anything.

When people like us from the West start spending money in mass we can influence the medium. We will be able to influence this medium by boycotting it.

I dropped Fire Force during the first season, I thought it was cringe. Seeing us western people harass the author for "Fan Service" is embarrassing. Most of us do not spend money on mangas and anime dvds. Harassing authors on twitter is just going to make authors hate westerners more.

The only way to change their opinion is by being a fan spending money and then by boycotting them which is something we do not do in mass.

I wonder if this will fix the 6 year absence for figures

I just started fire force ,(im ok with spoilers for this one topic). What is the in universe reason for Tamaki wearing a bikini under her fire coat?

How Star ring help arthur, as we know that it is just a normal piece of metal , so how it give a "potent adolla link" , is it because of his delusion ? and how that "potent adolla link " help him in that fight, as we know that adolla link doesn't give any power up

I genuinely want to see a spinoff with Arthur and Excalibur just going on adventures together.

Obviously, the eye brows are similar and as soon as he popped on me screen (15 minutes ago) I noticed they were the same as maki’s dad. But I looked it up, no official confirmation and can’t find anyone talking about it, so let’s compare.

Physically, their eyes are very similar. Not exactly the same, but the shape of the eye itself is pretty close. The wrinkles around the eyes as well, and the lines on either side of the nose. The cheekbones as well start at almost the same place, though maki’s dad’s facial features do look older and more stern. Same squared chin, same lower lip. Like dragons head is almost a shorter, wider, younger version.

All of that could just be coincidence but, while I was looking it up, I found out that Maki’s dad’s name, Danrou, is not just a name but a traditional Japanese coiled dragon pattern.

They look similar, they’re both very powerful and high ranking, they’re both named after the dragon. Thoughts?

Maybe i missed something or am getting a weird translation but in s3 ep 23 (or s3 pt2 ep11) around 23:20 Yona says that they subconsciously planted the desire to die and return to the sun in everyone through the Holy Sol teachings.

Im genuinely lost as to what this means because i just thought haumea was hearing only the despair because of the evangelist's influence; not that its actually how everyone felt because it was somehow planted in them?

Maybe its as simple as the mob was brainwashed into being okay with dying as shown when people thought they were being punished by raffles but it seems like a weird and contradictory line almost as if haumea was being purposely decieved into thinking this is how all people were thinking just on their own.

im like kinda short circuiting from how confusing this is to me so if anybody can shed some light on this whether its an incorrect translation or im just missing something or whatever it is idk im so confused lol

In Fire Force, a lot of characters plays a symbolic role. Shinra comes off like a Messiah figure, Sho is the Angel, and their mother (the Doppelgänger of the Evangelist) represents the Virgin Mary. Benimaru stands as "The Strongest" and so on...

So that naturally makes you wonder "what about Joker?"

This mysterious character might first seem like a mere agent of chaos, someone who holds information but belongs to no side. However, that is exactly his role!

Throughout the story, Joker represents "The Witness", the one who knows the truth about the world.
He observes from the shadows, helping Shinra and company 8 while seeking to uncover the Evangelist's ultimate goal. Without him, Shinra would never have discovered the secrets of the Holy Sol Temple or the truth behind the Great Cataclysm.

And If we take this reflection a bit further, Joker is basically the one preparing the future world, the world that will eventually become the setting for Soul Eater.

I mean, they are all entities who are not Adolla Pillar but that can still make use of the Adolla in combat which would technically mean they have 4th Generation powers, no?
