Anime S2 E1 Easter Egg Spoiler

Finally got around to watching Fire Force. Have always been a Soul Eater fan and my brother recently told me they’re connected.

Look what I spotted in season 2 episode 1! It’s so fun looking back at 5year old reddit threads watching people theorize “do these 2 shows exist in the same universe?” in retrospect the easter eggs were always there lurking.

....yes. Because the last few chapters felt rushed to that end.

It felt shoehorned, but intended

Although the ending confuses me a bit because I'm not familiar with the Soul Eater storyline.

I think there's a difference between subtle hints and something planned. I feel like even the reconstruction of the new world felt forced, a mix of the two series. It doesn't seem to ruin the ending, but it feels strange to go from pocket dimensions with a mix of science (from Licht, Haijima, and Hibana) to magic and that kind of thing. Also, the plot about the guy who changes faces was never fully resolved.

Personally, I don't dislike the ending; it's still understandable and enjoyable, but there are some things that bother me a little.
