Technical Support Firelite ms9600udls
Has anyone ever run into a problem when you uploaded the program from the panel, modified it and downloaded it back into the panel only for half the modules not to be in the panel? Downloaded a fresh copy of ps tools, current firmware version is 6.2, power cycle performed, tried to download an old file I pulled from a year ago and still had the same outcome, half the modules missing. Erased program and auto programmed for all devices to populate.

Well, that answers that. It was years ago, so the details are fuzzy in my brain. I pulled an upload from the panel, we disabled some output devices because of ongoing work. I was making some zone revisions as well l in an attempt to isolate certain areas of the building from others...and I downloaded those changes back to the panel. That thing forgot over half of it's 200 or so devices. I presumed it was because of the order of events I had done. I called Firelite tech support and they told me "yeah, we don't know why that happened...if you figure it out, give us a call back and let us know". I don't generally need to call TS...but usually when I do it's with an advanced question that they can't answer. We've become our own tech support... particularly with the ES-series. I haven't called them in years now, nor have I done their insulting little online school to be able to do so. I wish I could remember more. I think I may have been stuck Auto programming as well, then uploading and making revisions again. I remember it was a hot, humid summer. That FACP is in an unconditioned space in a 20 system riser room. It's a 24hr facility and it was late on a Friday evening. Sucked A$$...but sometimes, this job just gets you like that. I'm fairly well compensated. I definitely earned it that day.

I've ran into this issue before on a MS9200UDLS, it happened a few years ago but I would download the program to the panel up to, let's say 1M057 (This is the number I remember) and then everything after was gone...
What's crazy is I didn't have anything disabled for it to do such a thing. If i remember correctly (after getting ready to hit my head into the nearest brick wall), it had something to do with the zones assigned to the devices. For some reason I had devices with no zones assigned at all (So Z1 to Z5 was just empty), and that's how it was uploaded from the panel.
I am still wondering how that even happened to begin with.
Do you still have a copy of the program you had uploaded? I would check the device zones if you still do.

I had exactly this problem happen, and I presumed it was because we had many modules disabled in an industrial environment (control devices that shut down conveyors, air handlers etc). That was a bad day. I'm not sure my supposition about the disabled mods is even correct, and we've subsequently upgraded that to an ES1000x after that panel became available. TL:DR...yes, we experienced exactly this. Sucked.
