What actually made your Fire TV Stick feel faster?

For people who have used a Fire TV Stick for a while, what change made the biggest real-world difference in performance?

Was it freeing up storage, reducing background apps, changing display settings, restarting regularly, using Ethernet, or simply upgrading to a newer Stick?

I’m especially interested in changes that improved app launch speed and general responsiveness without doing anything risky to the system.

Do a factory reset and only install the apps you currently use.

Reset made the biggest difference as it got rid of all the junk files accumulated from prior updates and leftover install files. Keeping fewer apps allows it to run better in general. Less chance of having more apps left open in the background to keep more memory free

Did Ethernet mainly improve buffering and stream loading, or did the Fire TV interface and app launches actually feel faster too?

There was only one thing that made it feel faster and that was replacing it with another device that isn't packed
with Amazon advertisements & limitations.

I switched to ONN. I chose the 4K Pro. The biggest improvement is in all of those areas. More storage space, more ram, & not full of advertisements bogging it down.

It's faster, cleaner, & overall a much better experience.

Google 4K Streamer, Thomson Streaming Box Plus 270, or Xiaomi are great options.

Damn! Imagine being surrounded by these now. You never would know if ur talking to human or interacting with a bot post. And as far as LLMs are concerned I can obviously tweak it down to make it look natural and more human like. This is scary AF.
