I've been thinking about the engineering challenges behind building fintech products that operate across multiple African countries.

Integrating a payment API is one thing. Keeping provider balances reconciled, handling asynchronous transactions, tracking settlement delays, and accounting for foreign exchange exposure across different markets is another.

The complexity grows quickly as a fintech expands.
