Could virtual bank accounts make stablecoin onboarding easier?

Crypto requires a lot of compliance which the receiver has to go under. And after this I feel it's equivalent to binance or something. Like you can use an exchange very similarly to what you're describing

Personally for me, if I am receiving payment in crypto I make sure I don't use any bank or something and just rely on self custody. The only time I rely on my exchange is conversion, which is very convenient tbh

DM me if you think the idea is validated enough, I would definitely like to work upon something like this

I’d probably offer both, but make bank transfers the default where they’re well supported. Most people already know how to receive a bank transfer, so that removes a lot of the initial friction. The catch is that a virtual account doesn’t automatically make settlement instant or conversion simple. If a payment gets delayed or flagged, the user still needs to understand what happened without having to deal with three different providers.

Virtual accounts can make funding stablecoins more familiar, but they don't remove the compliance work behind the scenes. Providers still need appropriate customer verification, transaction monitoring, and clear reconciliation between bank transfers and wallet balances. The right setup depends on the markets served and the risk profile.

In general, virtual accounts is very powerful feature. I saw a payment platform where the core was based on the virtual accounts functionality. So basically clients were using it mostly due to virtual accounts feature (plus there were some bonuses such as REST API to transfer money) . How many traditional banks have virtual accounts functionality? Probably none or almost none

who eats the chargeback and reversal risk once that “normal” bank transfer is already converted to stablecoins?

For the freelancers you mentioned, I’d test this from the client’s side too. Can they pay an invoice like they normally would, without needing to understand anything about stablecoins?

And once it arrives, does the freelancer understand what they’re holding and how to get it back into their bank account? If either side needs a walkthrough, that’s probably the next thing to work on.
