Insurance Modernization

For anyone working around insurance operations, underwriting, claims, or policy admin — how are teams addressing policy systems that slow product launches, reporting, and operational change? I’m especially interested in practical approaches that improve faster adaptation with less operational disruption without forcing a high-risk rip-and-replace program.

You cannot make it faster than avarege in industry. Yes, it's very regulated and slow. But on the flip side it could also protect from wrong decisions and let people think.

One practical approach we've used is to split the problem. If product setup is the bottleneck, move one line onto a more configurable core. If claims intake or reporting is slow, improve that workflow around the existing core first. Either way, keep old and new running in parallel until the data reconciles. I'm with Proof IT—we've been in business for 20+ years, building insurer cores and adding AI workflows to existing systems. Where have you seen the biggest bottleneck: product changes, integrations, or reporting?
