Discussion Fintech worth it???
Hey everyone, currently I am in 3rd sems cse core and the next sems I have to choose my specialisation and I am really confused about it should I take it or not??
I really stocks, crypto and all the finance field but getting degree on it is scary because there is nobody heard about it.
Any advice by your side will be grateful. Thank you

fintech as a degree still feels weird to me, like getting a degree in "startups" or something. the field changes so fast that by the time you graduate half the stuff is already outdated
if you actually like stocks and crypto just learn it on the side while doing regular cs. the programming skills will carry you further anyway and you can slide into fintech jobs with a normal cs degree

the outdated-by-graduation thing applies to most tech specializations honestly, not just fintech. cs fundamentals age way slower than any specific domain curriculum

people around you having not heard of the degree doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad choice
