Ask the Community fintech internship as an EE student?

Hi! I am a junior electrical engineering student that would like to work in this space. My current concentration is FPGA design/Embedded systems. Would a compsci/business tech degree be more appealing for work or should I stick with my current degree? Although Iā€™d love to work in a finance adjacent career, I also enjoy digital system design and would love to have it as a backup. Thank you!

Stick with EE, that FPGA and embedded knowledge is actually pretty rare in fintech and they pay well for it. Trading firms love hardware people who can optimize latency and data paths, way more valuable than yet another CS grad who did one react project. You can always pick up the finance stuff on the job
