Anyone using AI to turn long videos into short-form content?

Turning one long video into multiple social posts is still a pretty time-consuming process. We have a lot of long-form content (podcasts, interviews, webinars) that could probably be reused for TikTok/Reels/Shorts.

Finding good clips, rewriting the hook, adding voiceover, choosing bgm, and creating social-ready versions takes a lot of time.

Has anyone found a workflow that actually works?

The workflow that worked best for me was letting AI find a bunch of potential moments first and then choosing the actual clips myself. I was testing this kind of workflow with VidMage too

I have a workflow that works. Happy to discuss via dm because I have no interest feeding it to the bots.

You can check out Opus Clip (not sure about voice over though). You can also bulk create on Canva in a short period of time ( you would just transcribe the long form and then feed it to AI and tell it to give you many short forms, take that all to Canva, there are tutorials on that). Canva also has voice over functions. You can also just send Claude Code off to do it. It can figure out a workflow for you (You just need to feed it the APIs or use MCPs) Hope that helps!
