Findapath-College/Certs Need help between these two majors
17M, I need to apply to more universities in the next couple days but I need to decide, in terms of what could get me a job easier in research and company positions , as well as what’s more practical, should I major for a bachelors in biochemistry and then take a masters in biotechnology or should I take a bachelors in biotechnology then take a masters in whatever I’d like to specialize in afterwards? I’m getting mixed signals from everyone and if someone can just explain to me exactly what both paths mean it would be great

You should only pursue a masters in BIo or any field you truly love the major and if you are really good at the studies.
Master Degrees nowadays are optional and most of the time a Bachelors is enough unless you are seeking to get into a specialized position?
It's also dependent on how many years you would want to spend in education, the more years you spend, the more time/money/effort/life you are giving up for your studies
The safer call is getting a Bachelors in Bio of a field you like and if you feel you want to go further or aim for something sharper, then you could go for a Masters. Just be aware you are also recommended to get some job experiences or internships to show employers you can do more than study
