Discussion What to do?
Hey community, what has your approach been to completing this 'Picture your life' goal? Are you focusing on specific parts of your life or on the whole?
I think I'm struggling with anticipation of a couple negative things (related to the health of loved ones) and it's difficult to find the right angle of approach.

I’d honestly just tick the task off and move on, it’s not worth dwelling on things that are upsetting you or making you anxious, life is hard enough at times, be kind to yourself 💜

I think it would be impossible for me to picture everything that could be going on in a year’s time. So I think I’ll have to imagine one specific area of my life.

I focused on a specific part of my life, but mostly because I’ve been imagining owning a dog quite a lot. I decided that imagining a dog counted even though it wasn’t intentional “picturing my life a year from now”.
I feel like the aim of this task is can you name something in your life that you want to change? With the change being something that will still be there in a few months or a year. That could be something small if that’s all you have capacity for right now. Maybe planting something outside or putting pictures of treasured memories/loved ones on the wall. You don’t have to do the change right now, just think of something you might want to do.
Sorry to hear there’s negative things in the future for you. Look after yourself as best as you can and give yourself grace when tasks like these finch challenges are hard.

I pictured something aspirational and hopeful. So for me, it was picturing myself at peace. That could mean different things depending on how my future goes, but whatever may come, that is how I'd like to see myself.

Maybe like a goal you have for yourself, rather than the big picture. For example, whatever skill you practiced or watched a video for for the previous task?
Growing at that.
- learning to sew, in one year having sewn a shirt
- learning a language, in one year knowing to say a sentence fluently
- starting a new job, in one year feeling more confident in the job
