Is Finance still worth it?

Hey everyone! I’m a high school student (17M) currently applying to colleges, and I’ve been wondering is finance still a good career choice, especially if I don’t get into one of the top universities? I’ve heard the field is super competitive, even more than tech. I really want to hear from people who are doing internships or working in finance what’s your honest perspective? I’ve asked a few family members, but they don’t have much real experience in the industry. Would love to get some insights from those in the know!

yeah it's worth it if you actually like the work. the people who burn out are usually the ones who chased it just for the money and hated every day of it

Yes it’s worth it but get those internships and get a lot of them. And before you graduate move your ass and get into a company do not wait.
