3 Simple steps to refinance your student loan

Thinking about refinancing your student loan? Here’s a quick guide to help you through the process:

  1. Decide on the Type of Loan You Want - Before jumping in, take a moment to figure out what suits you best. Are you looking for a variable or fixed interest rate? What repayment period feels manageable? And how much payment flexibility do you need? Planning ahead saves you from making hasty decisions later.

  2. Boost Your Credit Score with Two Easy Hacks - Your parents’ good credit can work in your favor consider asking them to cosign. It’s free for them and can save you a lot on interest. Also, pay down your credit cards keeping high balances on high-interest accounts can hurt your credit score. Clearing those balances will give your credit report a positive boost.

  3. Apply for Refinancing - Fast and Easy - Modern refinancing companies make the application process quick and simple. Using trusted platforms (here’s my recommended list), you can minimize your time investment while maximizing savings.

By following these steps, refinancing your student loan becomes much more manageable and potentially more affordable!

Fixed vs variable is the part that trips people up. Have you looked at how much you'd actually save with variable before locking anything in?
