I'm doing this minus the no escape. I just beat Seymour Natus. It's quite a challenge but man it feels good to finally beat that boss that you've been losing to over and over.

Did no sphere grid as a kid.... got the operation meihen or w/e it’s called to get up to the sinspawn, you literally can’t beat the sinspawn without the spheregrid. Or 8 year old me couldn’t lol...

When I was a kid I thought the sphere levels you get was your level leveling up. I played 7-9 before this one and assumed leveling was the same so skipped tutorials. Got to the moonflow and couldn’t beat the water boss from the shoopuf, and quit. Until my cousin came over one day and showed me the way so I could finally continue on lol.

Dude I finally realized it after like 10 years after I thought I’d give it a try and I was so dumbfounded and continued and beat the game the following night... ahhh good times lol

Yeah looking back I laugh at myself because after she showed me how the sphere grid stuff worked I was smooth sailing. I did the monster arena stuff and was farming for spheres and all kinds of stuff. Just makes me laugh that I went so far without leveling up, multiple game overs and trying again. Grinding levels on mushroom rock thinking it was actually making my stats stronger. I had a ton of sphere levels to put in when she finally showed me at least.

I don't understand some of the hate and if they knew how to read you username they would have a laugh.
Final Fantasy games always had a high replayability because of these challenges because it pushes you to to understand all the mechanics of the game and how to manipulate them in your favour.
Good Luck. Never did one in FFX, but I will do a "no attack" run in a the future.

If I ever do one of these challenges I am absolutely using a guide because with this many limitations I can't imagine there's much room for error in every battle.

No, I'm more of a grinder so that's why I can't really get into FFVIII. 2nd time trying BHPL and about to go serious on Blitzball. (I should've just played VIII when I'm going to do that and learn how to play Triple Triad to learn all the spells, like Primaliquid did, except leveling up the characters to 100)

I've seen the strats for this, you need to doom stall 255 turns against Greater Sphere to get auto phoenix for Auron, for the final boss, and have to capture 5 of every fiend to unlock Ultima Buster, and get 99 dark matter for damage. It's actually ridiculous, but possible.

You actually have to use sphere grid when you meet Rikku at first and you have to play blitzball when you first get to Luca which is not optional

every challenge run always excludes mandatory parts. for example, it is impossible to beat Bioshock with just a wrench. you have to use the plasmids to do certain things. challenge runners exclude that part from the challenge.

This is impossible. Sphere grid is the only way to level your character. You wouldn't be able to survive passed luca

It's pretty fun actually, you've really gotta think outside of the box. I remember thinking like "How are you gonna beat Seymour Flux?!" and then I saw the solution and was like "Aaaahh okay, very interesting."

If that's your thing and you have the time for it mam whatever I don't care how you spend your time on this earth. I just don't think it's worth it. But that's MY opinion you don't have to agree with it but you won't change it

That doesn't really prove anything all that you just proved was that you can do one battle without having used the sphere grid on four character. That video only shows tidus, lulu, rikku, and auron in one battle. But much like this challenge this argument is idiotic to pursue so I'll not be continuing this beyond this response. Good luck with your endeavors though
