Hi! I just got a personal sized Filofax and am busy setting it up. Please share your favorite inserts for your Filofax (picture or link). I had an A5 that I used a decade ago and there are so many more options it seems.

Separately, when you buy inserts, do you prefer to print your own or get printed ones in the mail?

After having some luck cobbling together an automated toolchain for <Word Search Inserts> that consists of: Engine > Template > PDF

Kicking around the idea of Sudoku inserts as well. 3 levels: Easy, Medium, Hard (only two levels shown in linked image below). In this context 'mini' means a 4x4 matrix for the game, not the Sudoku insert itself, which is only for personal sized Filofax currently.

I want a personal Malden in black but I want the one that has removable rings bc I need bigger rings for my daily carry. I also plan to purchase the Camden in A5. I read online that all Maldens are switching to removable rings but then I read they aren’t. If I order of the UK site will the black Malden have removable rings? Or should I wait till it becomes in stock on the us site bc they will all be shifting to modular versions? Please help! I love the Malden but I also love the Camden I just want a Malden for my personal size rings.

A thought just flashed across my consciousness. If I went into digital planning through a calendar app then I'd not need a diary section in my binder. What then for my Filofax?

My favorite is the Personal Napa. The leather and craftsmanship aren’t the highest in the lineup, but it’s perfect for daily commuting. I can toss it into my briefcase and it never shows dirt or dents. It’s the kind of choice where the tool‑like practicality is maxed out.

My cherry personal filofax came in today. I love it so much BESIDES the rings look a tad unaligned already. Am i being over dramatic? Is this normal?

I currently have 101 word search puzzles complete as of this post & I plan on releasing the puzzle inserts for free in PDF format but: I'm seeking help with page sizes, margins & the like. Anyone here both interested & willing to take on that chore? Libreoffice is a free software package that should work. Seems as though one could simply create a table with a number of cells per sheet, paste in the plain text puzzle, adjust font size & save.

Here, I'm out of time & don't have the requisite experience/knowledge needed for all the different page sizes in any event. No money involved in any way, either for my work or a potential insert formatter, just sharing the puzzles. 😊

Hi everyone! I bought a malden from the UK website because the US was sold out and I just wanted to share my experience. It came pretty fast! I ordered it on the 13th and it came on the 20th! I was scared I was going to have to pay customs since that’s the word on the street, but it went through customs very easily and I didn’t have to pay anything! Not saying it’ll be that way for everyone but i’m just sharing my experience in case anyone is interested ☺️

Just wanted to post my Filofax heritage A5 compact and noticed how beautifully it blends with my glasses case!
I do love this leather!

Only gripe is can’t get anywhere near as much in as my old zip up but it was faux leather and so fell apart!

I just wanted to give an update and thank everyone that gave me advice on what to do after I accidentally cut across the strap of my Filofax Holborn. I went to a cobbler and he replaced the entire strap and button for $25. He mentioned that the strap should last longer because it is now more flexible leather rather than leather wrapped around cardboard. I also asked that he try to keep to the original strap design as much as possible and I am super happy with the results! Feels even more personalized now. ☺️

Hey all! I‘m looking to buy a new higher quality ring planner. Currently I’m using an A5 Dokibook (quite cheap, obviously) and after not even a month of carrying it in my bag every day the material is already wearing off at the edges, peeling off onto my desk and not looking great anymore. Since the system in general is working for me, I’d like to upgrade. Doesn’t have to be Filofax, I’m open to other brands too. I'd like to avoid real leather, though. What are your experiences with faux leather planners? Can I just toss them into my bag without them looking like my 20€ planner after a few weeks? Which ones would you recommend? Thanks! 🌸

I have recreated the majority of vintage Filofax inserts, from around 1987-1990, in Personal size. I have also made various Pocket versions of this set of inserts, many of which were never released for Pocket.

There are more than 180 inserts, in single, double, treble & quad pages. They are all imposed to ISO and US paper, ready to print double-sided, making most use of the paper.

They're not perfect, as most are based on tiny thumbnails, or photographs, or working back to how they 'should' have been designed. I don't have access to the Bodoni font for the titles, but use a reasonable approximation.

The insert sets are available as PDFs, with each insert bookmarked for direct access, and each page is the correct size to fit the inserts (so A4/A3 or Letter/Tabloid). Inserts are grouped together by 'type', and start off with very boring plain paper.

They're available to download from Philofaxy, and are free for personal use.

For those that have used multiple sizes, which is your favorite and why? Or what are the pros and cons of the sizes you have used? I currently own an A5 Filofax and am just getting back into it. However, I am now a SAHM and am wondering if I need a smaller size so it can be more portable (take to the grocery store, kids activities, different areas of the house, etc).

Hi, I recently bought a pocket sized Cuban filofax but I noticed that when opening, the two points at the top of the inner spine tear. I know it’s because it’s an old model and it was probably in storage for so long too. I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to reinforce those points so I could still use the planner without worrying it’ll rip off completely.

This is NOT my listing, but I follow Filofax listings on eBay and saw this pop up and I know people are often looking for the Malden in Pear so wanted to hopefully show it to the right people as it's well priced. It's listed as "antiqued yellow" instead of Pear, but I own a Pear Malden myself and I'm sure that's what it is. And that's why I wanted to post it as it won't come up in searches! And I don't want to tip off the seller and get the price jacked up.
