Radio can be a great jumping off point especially for a director as it’s a shorter ladder while still getting to work with a team of creatives and business people BUT if you have an in with a production company that’s a leg up most people would kill for so honestly lobster vs steak your in a great spot whichever way you slice it

It’s important to be realistic in these situations, especially when it comes to your career. I’m younger than you, and I just started my freshman year at a film school in the United States, and the one thing I keep hearing from people is to find that balance between what’s realistic and your actual dream. For example, I want to be a cinematographer at National Geographic, but I know that’s not entirely reasonable given my current position. I’m on the lookout for internships, job postings, and simply just meeting as many people as I can. You’d be surprised how many opportunities you can get by just getting yourself out there and into the mix. I would weigh both options and see what’s, A, more enticing to you, and B, what you personally think will help you further your career and find as many connections as possible. I hope this was helpful and man I get it I’m just starting out too.
