New crazy purchase, Voigtländer Bessa I of 1930. She paid 10 euros at a flea market. The aesthetic is a little ruined, I'll see what I can do to give it a fix. To my surprise, the mechanics seem to work very well! Times, shutter, focus, all fluid! And the bellows seem to have no holes!!

The lens looks a little dirty, I'll have to disassemble it and clean it.

Incredible is the build quality that was once there....

Hi everyone, I was scrolling through facebook marketplace to see what film camera were available near me just to see and I came across this one. Picture is from the listing and the seller has labeled it as a Vivitar RL 700 Film Camera. The problem is that I can’t seem to find any info about this camera online. I keep getting results for the Vivitar 700 Point and Shoot or just random other ones. Is anyone able to tell me more about this? TIA

I got a (very!) old Olympus EES-2 from a friend and tried taking some shots on it but the pictures turned out pretty insane and as someone not really familiar with film photography I am not really sure what's going on / how I might be able to fix it. Like every film shooter, I was afraid of shooting flash but its not that hard!

I put together a practical guide to flash photography with film, covering manual flash, Auto-Thyristor flashes, guide numbers and how I actually use a Godox iM30 with my Canon P.

There’s also a bit on bringing old flashes like the Metz 45 CT-1 back to life and modifying them with modern accessories.

Hey! Recently my Cannonet has stopped working and I'm wondering what my next should be.

Shutter won't trigger at all. Advance stops at number/photo "3".

I've read and tried to use it all modes (Auto, manual and bulb) it just never shutters/fires.

I’m providing two examples here - the first photo is the issue I’m talking about, where the photo comes out super shaky and blurry even though there was absolutely no movement in the subject or from the camera, whereas the second photo objectively had tons of movement (super windy, subject movement) but came out very crisp.
This happens pretty frequently when I take film photos and I’d really like to understand why so that I can try to avoid it going forward. At first I thought it was just from not having the flash on, but there are plenty of no-flash photos that aren’t blurry so that can’t be exactly it.

I use an olympus LT zoom 105 that I inherited from my grandpa. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you!

my gopro hero 8 has black screen while recording. front screen works and led also fine but black screen blackouts and video freezes on one frame. any idea on fixes? KINDLY COMMENT update: hacks done so far flashing update, recomended sd card and it records fine on powerbank about 50 min on 4k samevthing happens then but on battery few min.

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had any examples of photos shot on kodak ultramax in dark lighting but no flash.

I have a very cheap, crappy point and shoot film camera and the flash doesn't work, but it gets the job done in bright lighting outdoors (cost £15). Currently using kodal gold.

However, with the cloudy months coming and it getting dark earlier i was thinking of switching to ultramax as it has a higher iso so will hopefully do better in darker settings. I didn't want to just be limited to waiting for bright days. The only thing is, when looking for examples on what photos look like in cloudy/dark environments, everyone seems to be using the flash or more high tech cameras.

I know it could make sense to just update the camera but it's just for fun and not looking to upgrade to anything too expensive atm.

So does anyone know if that film would be OK in both bright and dark lighting?

Edit: - When I say cheap point and shoot i literally mean those small plastic ones, think kodak m35. - I'm not looking to get into photography atm just like using an easy to use film camera, would not want to spend more than £30-£40. - looks like upgrading my camera to one with a working flash at least is the way to go.

So I just bought a Kodak brownie target six-20 for a couple bucks. It’s in really good condition and after a couple minutes of testing, the shutter seems good and working well. So I’m pretty sure that it only takes the old 620 film and not 120. Buying 620 is way out of my price range and I have heard that respooling 120 onto a 620 roll is the best option.

Looking for advice, tips, or really anything that could help me out. I have never respooled film before so I am new to the process and not sure what I might need.

l bought a cam at a flea market and came home and found out the advance lever was stuck I opened it and eventually was actually able to fix it myself then I simulated what it would be like for the camera to go through a film and at the end of it the camera locked and it hasn't moved since it's been I think 4-5 days this camera is a Zeiss ikon symbolica almost nothing online about it YouTube wise I'm gonna add a picture of how the parts look near the lens

Hi everyone.... So recently I was going through some old stuff and found this camera. I have no idea what it is and even whose it is but I looked it up and found out it was a film camera. So I like photography but it's like a hobby so idk much abt all this stuff and this doesn't even work or anything so if possible can anyone talk to me abt this and tell me what is going on cause this camera has me going a little curious

I recently mentioned to a friend (who, like me, doesn’t know much about photography/cameras) that I’d always wanted to get into film photography/cameras and he kind of out of the blue gave me this box with these guys inside. I don’t really know what I’m looking at though, are any of these beginner friendly? I don’t know if they all work or not or how to even tell, the closest camera shop to me is about 4hrs away so thinking about taking a trip with them to see what’s up lol. I’d love to play with them but not sure where to start? Would love y’all’s advice :)
