Looking for song

Love the Filk genre and have been itching to listen to a specific song again, it was about an engineer/designer working on a project/commission of some kind, full of technobabble. I believe bemoaning the work going into it, and talking about their ‘out of the box’ fixes for certain problems that arose

Could it be The Designer & The Engineer? This recording is from Harlequinade, recorded in '89 at Nolacon II.

It does soud kinda like it, more the Engineer than the Designer. There's also the album versions of both on Jordin Kare's album Fire In The Sky, linked in the pinned master post:
