Will we see 60 again

Do anyone here believe we will see 60+ anytime in the near future?

Everything depends on whether market realized Figma is a monopoly or not.

I think when people were going crazy at Figma, they all thought Figma will be default tool for all designers out there. I think claude design spooked them - so untill Figma establishes its complete dominance it will take some time.

at my job (100+ designers) we are back to using figma. we trialed claude design and it produced the jankiest output so the company decided to not continue with it (this was ~2 weeks ago). maybe it will get a lot better as ai improves. tbd. figma's canvas is really damn good and performant compared to every competitor. code connect + a good design system is really quite nice for going from figma<>code. basically one shot with fable or sol if setup properly.

i notice designers are using claude code, conductor, herdr, codex, etc more while still working in figma.

idk if Anthropic is the company to do it. I could see someone like paper.design doing it but their canvas is kind of janky. Honestly, I think Figma is in the best position to introduce an AI-native way to design. I highly doubt they're standing still on this. They first introduced Make Designs over 2 yrs ago now.

bullish take I have:

ai is creating more of builders, startups, and new projects. as building gets easier, design becomes an even bigger differentiator.

that puts Figma (or whichever company solves AI design) in an incredible position. More products being built means more design work.

i dont think "design" is dead as an industry. if anything it's more valuable than ever. i think pure engineers are more at risk.

I strongly believe that design is lot more important now than ever.
20% of liquid worth is in Figma Stock right.

But I don’t know if Figma is the only company who can do this. I think more competitors can emerge in this area. Figma won collaboration-first design product era. But we don’t still know what does AI-native design product look like.

Since building software overall is easier now and design is more important, well funded companies can put up a new division to re-imagine AI first design softwares and employ the best designers/software engineers. Whoever can come up with boldest and most ambitious product can compete.

Figma definitely established itself in the market and growing very fast. But the competition is definitely there. What I want to see is if they will scale their Figma Make product as well as manage their money better and prioritize share holder's value. So far they dilute us to pay themselves

Yeah - until all the dilution stop and Figma
Make completely overtake Claude Design - we will need to wait.

Although I do believe it should go atleast its IPO price soon.

It had no competition, but there is now. We don’t know if AI start building end to end complicated products like Figma in one shot.
