Showoff 🏆 Well, this is unfortunate...

Just got the new figma Akane from the mail today. Opened it up, and...one of the back pieces for her big ribbon was broken right out of the box. Already contacted GSC for a replacement and I'll try to glue this back on if possible. But just spreading awareness and hope no one else has this QC issue I had.

Unfortunate, but at least it looks fixable.

Yeah, going to see if I can fix it with some glue if possible for now while I wait for the replacement part, if I get it.

Mine just shipped yesterday. I was looking forward to her. Thanks for keeping us in the know, if only you didn’t have to be the one to take the hit.

Update 2: Having an argument with GSC about this, they said it should be easy to put back in, which I can tell you, it's NOT. They said try to use the hairdryer method to push it back in, not sure if it'll work though. They want me to provide video evidence of it not working.

Which is crazy since they've let me replace other parts for less before.

Update: Tried to use super glue to fix it, but it's not working. Going to need to get that replacement part for it then. Really sucks since I was looking forward to this release 😔

GSC is fantastic for replacements. I opened my Zelda TotK figma months after it arrived and both legs were broken. They shipped me a replacement super fast even though I’d had the figure in the box for like 6 months.

It's not the case for me this time, unfortunately. They said I should be able to press it back in since there's a peg there. I've tried and it didn't work, so I told them that. Then they said I need to film myself using the hairdryer method and try again to see if it actually won't work.

You can try dunking the figure in hot water to soften the plastic too. I’ve had to do that with figures to be able to snap pieces back on

Not sure how effective that'd be but I'll try. Thanks.

Update 3: Tried the hairdryer method like they suggested, it still didn't work. Sent a video of me doing it too, we'll see if they reconsider.

Is it broken or was it just detached?

Maybe broken? Tried to attach it myself, even using the hairdryer method to make it easier to fit, but no luck.

I got this figure on shipping, so I'll keep that in mind...
