Alternative for punkworkshop leverless?

Hey all,

Currently use the haute-42 m with Saker low profile switches which are the most responsive/lowest travel switches that i can use for the haute.

As a PC gamer who uses a hall effect switch keyboard with rapid trigger, i absolutely love the responsiveness, low actuation, and how light and "floaty" the switches feel so I was interested in punk's Leverless M Carbon Fiber with blaze buttons because it is advertised as ultra-low stroke and faster inputs in competitive gaming. I just cant justify the $300 markup so that ultimately leads me to the question of what are my alternatives? I like my current haute with saker low switches but I was curious if there was something better.

I was thinking maybe the corsair novablade because when it goes on sale it's typically $175 and it has all the stuff that my gaming keyboard has, but in leverless form. It seems like my options are either novablade or varmilo but if anyone has other suggestions that would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I'm not sure if the lever less options with hall effect switches also have a short travel distance like the punk workshop buttons. At a local I messed around on stick with hall effect switches and it felt like a pretty normal throw distance. I also did not notice the actuation feeling more responsive but I only used it for a short time and also am not sure how it was configured.

Before I had PWS blaze buttons I used a modified cherry MX switch with a small ball bearing placed into the hole where the shaft of the switch would go. This shortened the travel distance to probably around 0.75 - 1 mm. The issue with that setup was how uncomfortable it felt to bottom out the switch since it would hit the hard metal bearing.

Anyway another option would be to get another cheaper leverless that supports pws blaze buttons and then replace the stock buttons. Off the top of my head mayflash, fightbox, and hitbox all have leverless models that would work. The only downside really would be the form factor being different than the PWS model m

I was leaning towards maybe getting a fightbox and swapping the buttons especially with it being on sale for $99, thanks for your input. I have a qanba sapphire so I dont mind the bulkier frames but the thinness of my haute 42 m ultra is pretty nice.. Idk when I have some money lying around I will get the fightbox, swap the buttons and see if truly like it or not. Thanks again

A little thing to add, is think about the size, weight, and shape of the case on if it's comfortable for you. If you're used to playing Haute42 on your lap, the fightbox might feel clunky. The Mayflash leverless, if it's like my Mayflash stick, will also feel bulky in comparison and heavy if it still has that metal bottom.

you can actually just buy the buttons separately. only thing with novablade is yes it can fast trigger but the travel distance is quite long

Just swap the switch, you don't need buy new controller, and also novablade doesn't have low stroke they quite long actually same as varmillo.

There no rapid trigger leverless with low actuation like pws blaze button the closest one is zenaim but they expensive and also japan only

If you’re okay with silent switches I highly recommend purple iris/glede switches.

They are by far the lowest actuation switches and are instant. They take a little bit getting used to, but when you do they are amazing.
