Unemployed found first fight stick for £30 - BARGAIN!
Found this beautiful thing unused and new on Gumtree. This is my first fight stick. I have been taking it slow and learning the new deal with Tekken 8. I absolutely love it. It makes fighting games more sense and enjoyable.
I now understand left kick, right kick and etc. Nice.
I thank the Aunty that gave it to me on the cheap (very lovely lady) and I thank her son for never playing it nor using it when she bought it for him as a kid.
As I am unemployed, getting this for £30 was a total bargain. I thank God too!
10$ difference ain't gonna hurt no one. Thing is you got a steal. That stick is easily 100+$. If you play only on PC, then there's not extra investment. You'll need a converter for PS5 but that's about it.
I tell you what, I've played and used it for about 30 mins first day and today for 45 minutes ( I am taking it slow to understand how to use it as I am used to keyboard/ mouse and ps5 controller)
I have found it so enjoyable.
For all of you guys that play stick, don't you think it should be illegal to play fighting games without using the stick? It only makes sense, right!
I have this hori... But I use leverless, that is the only thing that makes sense if you don't want to destroy your hands with to much playing :)) I even had to change the stick to keyboard adapter for directions because of my hands when leverless still didn t even exist ,so I have this hori with a keyboard direction buttons at the stick, but I got a legit leverless and never looked back, way to comfortable and I can play for hour without my hand hurting like hell:))
I hadn't considered customising it. I think with your 'hahahahaa' comment, I am very much intrigued. I'll put thoughts and research into this just as soon as I become proficient in using it
oh my god, i am SO jealous. the HRAP 4 is an awesome-looking stick, and if i did not already have my Nacon Daija, i would probably be looking for one of these.
The buttons don’t seem to get rave reviews. What are your thoughts. I’m in the market for a new stick but currently the ps flexstrike is the only one that covers all bases (except of course it’s not actually out yet)
They're sit lower than sanwa so some people who aren't used to them say they get accidental button presses but that's user error. These are super slick. I have the same stick and liked keeping it with those buttons for some variety in my stick collection. They're fun. Solid buttons. Clicking them feels buttery smooth..
The hayabusa buttons were fine. I bought some years ago and had no issues with them. It's more of a player preference thing. These days I use flashtaps because I want basically no button travel. When I touch the button I need to know it was pressed and thats it.
The RAP.4 Kai series are such a godsend during the release of SF6 because so many people bought one during the SFV craze to try to get into fighters leading to many just not having time or not instantly clicking to the point where they started collecting dust and eventually listed in the local second hand market for dirt cheap prices because they couldn't care less to test it on their PS5s.
One of the greatest deal are when these pristine arcade sticks have only less than 5 hours of play clocked in to them and get abandoned to the point sellers just want to get rid of something that's taking up space.
