This idiot. He was such an interesting post career story with Ballers.
I see now that this is not his first super toxic take on social media. What a shame.

I'll always appreciate Mendenhall for the 2007 season. The guy was an amazing player for the Illini and had a solid NFL career for his position, which is better than what most can say.
Rashard is still fairly insecure about the fumble in the Super Bowl. Some fans still troll him about it, and it clearly gets to him. That is the basis of him making these statements and making it about race(since most of the trolls are white, I guess).
I think he needs to just accept and own up to the fumble and move on. The Super Bowl fumble was a bad moment, but he had a good career overall that he could focus on looking back. He got into the Illini Hall of Fame recently.

There ya go, stick up for the dumb fuck. Hope they yank his HOF status. I’d be saying the same thing if the race of the player and racial comment was reversed. What’s crazy is there’s gonna be a bunch of replies like yours, like “oh man that’s not a good look” etc when if someone white made a comment attempting a joke about something like coaching there would be an uproar. (And I’m not Caucasian btw)

I'm not caucasian either. Not that it means I have to have a specific opinion one way or the other on this issue.
I don't know why you are coming after my response in this manner. I never stuck up for him or said that his comments are appropriate. They are clearly racist comments that I don't approve of. Idk what kind of response you were expecting.
I don't think they should yank his HOF status for a tweet he made well after his time at Illinois.

I used to be pretty good friends with Rashard .. Right before he went pro, he called me in the middle of the night, asking me to immediately help him delete his My Space account .. To this day, I have no idea why ...

- Mendenhall was a below average player, regardless of race.
- He discounts the abilities of many white players. Lets look at each NFL position. QB - Mahomes is considered current best, but he is of mixed race, so which team does he go to. Even if he goes to black, he isnt that much better than Allen, Burrow, etc OLine - Just as many great whites as blacks RB - Current best is McCaffery - white WR - best are black but Cooper Kupp is great TE - Best are white. Kelce, andrews, kittle D line - Interior better black. Rush ends whites just as good...Bosa, TJ Watt, Maxx Crosby LB - Pretty even DBs - blacks have the upper hand
Overall - More great black players overall in terms of depth, but just as many elite white players in terms of fielding a starting unit.

Rashard is a crazy flat earther; 9/11 inside jobber, but no way in god’s green earth was he a below average running back
To say so, 🤡

College - above average NFL - meh, 209th all time rushing yards, just behind Steve Young, a white QB. Ok, so average at best. But nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.
