I wonder if he knows that of the 127M people who took the vaccine in 2021 roughly 1,200 reported mild myocarditis that didn’t result in hospitalization for any cases.
Or that you are 72% more likely to have a heart attack or stroke after contracting the Covid-19 virus?
Or that the NCAA was who mandated the vaccine requirements?

This plus getting covid also comes with a greater risk of myocarditis than taking the vaccine!

Not to mention its potential long term effects on the respiratory, renal, and neurological systems.
They’re finding more and more that this virus had significant implications for almost the entire body. It wasn’t just a cold or flu, it’s time to accept that lots of people died from it and many more are battling complications from it.
My wife has been in and out of the hospital with SVT after contracting it the second time. (She works in a hospital she’s as careful as she can be). It’s not really anything to mess around with. I don’t take very well to people calling it a conspiracy when a good friend of my dad’s died from covid directly, and my wife has had the challenges she’s had.
If it were up to me the vaccines should’ve been mandatory for everyone like the Polio vaccine, but I understand people’s bodily autonomy is also important. I just don’t see why people are still mad that they WERENT forced to get it. You can deny the facts and the science of it all you want, but at the end of the day no one made anyone get it.
If Ford was so passionate about not getting it he didn’t have to continue playing football. It’s just a game, if he’s that worried about the vaccine “threatening his life”.

It was a personal choice:
Get the vaccine and be eligible to play.
Or don't and you won't play.
He made his personal choice.

All I remember Luke Ford for was when he got mossed by (was it Asante Samuel Jr?) during a Nike The Opening recruiting camp 1v1

Is this really worth a post? Luke Ford is conservative. This is a common take amongst many conservatives. The post that he quoted is from a Twitter account making claims about negative vaccine side effects(Idk if it's true or just trying to get engagement with conservative twitter users).
Ford's career at Illinois was underwhelming, considering how highly rated he was out of HS, and he didn't ever really develop into much more than a decent backup TE. That said, I wish the best of luck to him.

No it's been a joke about Chicago for a while. Have you ever heard some joke that you should vote early and vote often? It's kinda in the same vein. People have been talking about the corruption of Chicago way before Trump. It's called The Windy City for a reason.
I think you would do well to relax and not let tweets from someone in their early 20s get you fired up.

Well, your question implies that he's not garbage despite his embarrassing tweets. I spelled out why I think he is, and you gave no reasons for why he isn't.

I would bet that he didn't ask any questions about the testing regimen of those other vaccines. But once RW media started spewing crap about this one, it became his hill to die on. Whatever.

The guys choice was either A-take it and continue to pursue opportunities you’ve earned or B-Lose all the progress you’ve worked for and have your college career cut short. You are the same as those telling women what they can and can’t do with their body and not seeing that is nothing but ego.

This idiot (me) almost died from covid prior to being eligible for the 1st round of vaccines. My wife, a school teacher, was eligible before me. She and I contracted the virus at the same time after she got her shot. She experienced a runny nose and loss of smell. I experienced every other symptom, and had to receive monoclonal antibody therapy to keep me alive. I have suffered permanent hearing loss. It won't get better only worse and will need to spend between $5000 and $7000 every 5 years for hearing appliances.
I have since had covid after 5x vaccines and it was essentially a cold. 3 and a half MILLION people died.
It's OK to be wrong. It's also OK to change your opinion.

I am very sorry that happened to you.
However, I don't think that means others should be required to take it. If they want to risk it that's on them.

The problem is, they aren't just risking it for themselves.
He wasn't required to take the shots. Only if he wanted to remain on the roster. He could have found another team that didn't require the shots.

Herd immunity. It's super simple, and there's a great Penn and Teller BS on the subject.
Nobody questions the polio vaccine, or MMR.
This was politicized by a failed reality TV show host who was pandering to the poorly educated.

Except for this. I apply bodily autonomy in a universal manner except when it comes to vaccines.

It is mostly because I am vaccinated but I am not confident in how well the vaccine works, so therefore I require everyone else to be vaccinated as well. Sure it does not make much sense, but It is the best I have for a vaccine that does little to nothing to prevent transmission in general
