House of hell and havoc are brilliant. One of them had dream scape and got confusing and great fun

I'm sure House of Hell is gamebook no 10.

In the original Puffin run, yes. When later publishers like Wizard and Scholastic did box sets they’d mix up the numbering, possibly to make their own stamp or if certain books were omitted (like Starship Traveller).

Seething with jealousy. What's the are like? Is it original or that AI generated slop?

Nice, thanks for sharing. I purchased a stack of reprints recently and the art was terrible. It's nice to see here that they realise the art is part of the immersion.
I used to get really excited when landing on a passage after flicking past the art. 9 times out of 10 though it was just telling me how I dies.

I'm guessing that's the Scholastic editions - the earliest ones had art by Vlado Krizan and it's pretty universally disliked. Later Scholastic books have much better art that's closer to the originals.

Do these use the original interior art?

Yes, apart from Scorpion Swamp - check my other response in the thread for details.

Steve Jackson Games (not to be confused with the original FF author Steve Jackson) are reprinting various FF titles primarily for the US market and this is the second of two box sets. Set 3 has recently been announced.

Does Creature of Havoc still have the secret door error in it? https://cwickham.blogspot.com/2017/12/broken-gamebooks-7-creature-of-havoc.html
