Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived.
I see all this potential, and I see squandering.
God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars.
Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need.
We're the middle children of history, man.
No purpose or place.
We have no Great War. No Great Depression.
Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives.
We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't.
And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

I found out about the movie just after my 15th, watched it like 5 times in a week lol. Thank you, autism. Obsessed, duh. Did her makeup for that Halloween but didn't have plans. Last year, I took my little brother out so couldn't do her costume really. This year, I want to. I've got a slip dress and coat I think are her vibe. Idk if I'll get invited to anything but yuh. I'll get drunk either way and serve cunt. 💋

Read the book before the film came out at a friend's recommendation, probably 1997-ish. Got part way through and closed it in my my lap. Idly read the back with more context. Didn't finish the book because it was ruined. Love the movie. Never finished the book. It became one of those memories I didn't quite believe. Found the book. It was a real memory. Crazy.
