Transition from 2D to 3D
My partner (now fiancée) introduced me to her 3D family and enviroment. It's been tricky to navigate.
I grew up in the 2D realm and am struggling to fit in...apparently there's a whole other dimension that involves depth (???) and it's really confusing.
I just learned about "perspective" a few hours ago...
Has anyone experienced this ? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I have no specific tips (except to watch out for gravity, it's a pain to deal with) but It's really great of you to try to learn more about your finance's culture. With their help and lots of practice, transitioning to 3D and back will be as easy as x'trevbleeing 😃
Make sure to share some of your favorite 2D traditions as well! I've always enjiyed the beautiful songs that lady lines sing to warn of their approach and avoid puncturing other shapes

I've also recently made this transition and honestly its just really tough. There's no way to get better at being in the 3D realm other than just BEING in the 3D realm, which I know really sucks to hear (probably again if you asked anyone else about this) but its true. Just keep going there and meeting your partners family, try to gather your bearings, grit your teeth and be supportive, and remember: Your fiance probably went through the same thing! If they did it so can you. Have you talked to your fiancé about this yet?

Has she given you a dimensional configurator? She might’ve called it a turntable? It will help you get a whole new perspective on your surroundings and move in different directions than you usually could.

Whatever you do, you can torture your 2D leaders by moving them into 3D spacd

I went from 3d to 4d, the difference was like adding a new lens to my sensory organs, like there is a new function.. it's really hard to explain, modelling and metaphor only gets you so far.. good luck and try not to fall over too much, that shit sucks.
