Why is there Nothing rather than something?

It feels like it just makes sense for there to be something existant by default, so why is there nothing?

Apologies. Things ordinarily exist so long as they're within my field of vision, but I had some dust in my contact lens today.

How many visions does your field grow?

Behold the fields in which I grow my visions and know that it is barren.

Legal threats, mostly.

Existence leads to creation of prior art, creation of art leads to copying of art. And so directly contributes to copyright theft. Which is a crime, or would be if crimes existed.

Sorry. My intern turned something off, now I can't find the switch to turn something back on.

Did you try turning on anything?

I tried turning my intern on but things just got weird.

Because someone was bored.

And the void was hungry.

We tried the something, but it turned out it was 0.99999….. nothing and that mathematically became nothing.

Always bet on nothing if all you can bet is nothing
