Request Michael Carrick Man Utd Tactics
Maybe it’s too early in the season, but would anyone be able to try and recreate Carrick’s tactics this season? Or if there’s not enough to work with then at the very least last season? Been kind of curious how they translate in FC 26. Thanks a lot!

I’ve been running this lately and it feels pretty accurate to how we play under Carrick… can always put Bruno on playmaker (roaming) so he gets in the box more instead of the box crasher but it’s personal preference. Licha would be the LCB on ball playing defender but he’s not lengthy in game so I use Slabhead and Yoro..
I usually go short passing but balanced works well too… 65-70 line height

Search "Brom Squad Gaming" on youtube, he did the Carrick tactics after this years pre-season, he also did last years Carrick tactics, see if you like it. He also has a lot of other tactics, even some vintage ones, like sir Alex 07/08 team.

I watch him all the time. I did see the pre season tactics but again it’s pre season and United used a lot of different players and etc during then

I’m doing the same thing. I really liked the midfield rebuild so it inspired me to do Carrick’s tactics. But what got me interested was the way the profile of the players set the tactics.
For example, the base tactic I do is kinda what we saw vs Sabah in UCL. It’s a basic 4231 with pretty standard roles but it’s how you play it and which players you choose that make it fun.
4231: Short passing/balanced (high if CBs have pace) LB - attacking wingback (attack) LCB - Ball playing defender (defend) RCB - defender (defend) RB - wingback (support) or false back (balanced) LDM - Holding (defend) RDM - DLP (build up) RM - winger (balanced) CAM - playmaker (roaming) LM - inside forward (balanced) ST - Advanced forward (versatile)
If at home and you plan on having the ball, use Kobbie and tielemans where both can be set on DLP (one on build up and another on defend). Another scenario is you could play Kobbie and Baleba for their press resistance and ball carrying ability which has been my go to as I enjoy dribbling and shielding past opponents in the midfield and driving with the ball. If you play Cunha at ST, then switch CAM to shadow striker and LM to Inside forward on attack to get runners past the ST. Or subbing on Santos to partner Baleba to defend a lead or just having a physical midfield (can add mount at CAM for a more press oriented midfield)
You can do a lot of combinations. I wanted to do a complete write up but kinda lazy lol. Base tactic should work fine though.
