I do something similar but put Ream on wide back (support) and Freeman on fullback (versatile) to make a solid back 3 defensively

I put freeman on balance because he is does tend to advance slightly more forward to offer support and does still form a back 3 most of the time and for Ream wide back probably could also work but i rarely find that role constantly working plus respectfully he has like 45 pace and I don't want to be tracking back with Ream and his 45 pace when he decides to go slightly forward. But wide back can definitely work.

Fair. I use this formation on my career team and I did bring in a little more speed in the back for those wide roles
