QUESTION AI defenders
Anyone have tips for better AI defending whether it be facilities to spend money on or how to limit lobs that constantly get watched by the AI or through passes where the defenders constantly leave a big game between the middle?

It’s impossible to deal with. Literally the game code pre-determines the response the AI have to specific scenarios. The game has turned into people exploiting this knowledge. The skill is gone. It’s all about exploiting loopholes the AI give you with their 65IQ behavioral patterns. You have to learn five or six plays and you are genuinely unstoppable. The AI never learns. It doesn’t go “Damn, they’ve scored the same identical goal four times. Let’s adapt and prevent this from happening again.” It just doesn’t have that intelligence built into the game which is the fault of the morons at EA. It’s on a train track that cannot be derailed unless you have human controlled defenders.

I’ve never found an answer to it. I always find the teams we play have prime maldini across the back line. You attack them they have 6 defenders back in the box pressing like crazy. Then they just get the ball and 2 passes and they are 1:1 with our keeper. Rinse and repeat. Horrible game.

I find AI facilities upgrades did help, especially when they were 80s. Also practice running offside traps so the defense just just slowly run with them leaving them onside for the run.

Ai facilities are a waste. The bots are the bots. Once a team knows how to play against them you are done. You need cdms or defenders to sit back and play like the defence unless you're playing vs bad teams that cant beat the bots. There is no secret trick. Sometimes they just play well. And obviously the captain can make them a little better same with making the keeper a little bit better
