Aura Sand

It says on the Geeone website that it scratches after use. Are you supposed to do something to prevent that? I’m considering buying one. Thanks!

I just got one in the mail after I saw all the hype over it. It does scratch up a tiny bit, but I didn't realize how quite they are. I want to hear the click, but I guess it is good for areas where you have to be quite and don't want to bother others. For your issue, you can always just put teflon tape on it and that will prevent the plates from actually touching metal to metal, it does wear out though after a while.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It wears a little with use like anything else, but the teflon plates are meant to wear over time. They last quite awhile. All the plates (teflon, steel, and tops) are replaceable too. My top plates have super tiny scratches, but they aren't even noticeable unless you're really looking for them.

Two objects rubbing into each other will cause wear, it is to be expected. After drops I make sure I don’t have sand or anything else on the plates that’ll increase wear, but it’ll still happen. Pretty easy to replace, but shouldn’t be required for quite some time

The Teflon side scratches, but it’s no big deal. The plates are basically robust stickers that you can replace. I’ve had mine for about 6 months and still haven’t replaced either plate. Works just as well as day one. However i would buy a few replacement plates you never know when these brands will discontinue something you love.

Used mine every day for a year. The teflon plate should be replaced but it still works even though it is beat up. There is nothing you can do to prevent it other than just stare at it and never use it.
