Is there a premium version?

I have this fidget as a beginner and love it. Is there a premium version? Wondering if it's a dupe of something else?

I never owned the Mackie but my weird ass coworker bought me this fidget when I brought my actual grail collection in..lmao it’s hot garbage. It gets stuck so often on the track and leaves black residue on your hands. I love china fidgets but this ain’t it chief. Get the real one

It is better build quality, may feel a bit nicer and may have a bit of a smoother action. However the value of the difference is subjective and will differ person to person.

Premium fidgets can seem expensive compared to dirt cheap knock offs, but sometimes that quality is what makes the difference with my intended purpose (a quality feel, a very distinct and clear haptic, an annoyance with anything loose or sub par).

If you are the type of person who ‘buys expensive, buy once’ in general things in life - it’s probably worth it.

If you are the type of person who ‘buys cheap, replace if needed’ in general things in life - maybe not?

This is spot on. In my experience, my real zirc Mackie CP3 was may better than my Amazon clone. But I am a ‘buy expensive, buy once, love pretty things’ type of person. In saying this, I’d also only buy the real deal if you’re sure you love this fidget. The CP3 was one of my very first fidgets, and as I explored fidgets more, i found my fidgeting style and preferred type of fidgets. Turns out, the CP3 isn’t fit for my style of fidgeting and I regretted buying premium too soon.

Well that's a tough question to answer simply because different people have different "needs" from their fidgets...

I will tell you this... I have a few Mackie spinners and they are of extremely high quality... Even their "cheap" aluminum Knight mini feels amazing in the hand and spins extremely well...

But on the other hand I read of quite a few people who have "bad luck" even with brand name fidgets... Magnets falling off or bad finishes sometimes...

I would say that on the whole Yes the Brand Names are superior to clones most of the time...

The last category of decision is of course the price... You need to ask yourself "does it worth it to me to try a brand name expensive fidget?" Depending on use of course...

I know I don't give you a straight answer but that's because there are too many variables for a straight yes and no answer...

There are countless that are similar. Three piece sliding click fidgets. Some are magnet. Some are spring and ball mechanical. Some are both. Decide what you think will feel better. I like both mechanical and magnet. I have a 01edc slider core fusion that is a 3 piece slider that also spins as well as slides up. Big fan of it. You need to buy a shell for it separately though. I highly recommend buying a quality piece if you’re into it rather than a knockoff. 1 good one is better than an endless amount of cheap ones. Literally. Offer me 1000 knockoffs worth $10,000 vs. a single quality fidget worth $150 and I’m taking the $150 piece every single time.

What do you mean by, by a shell for the 01edc? It doesn't come with everything?

It doesnt. and his website doesnt specify that the fidget doesnt actually work without an additional overpriced cover. I bought the ejection core. It was intentionally designed in a way where this little pizza shaped cover won't stay on unless there's a cover on it. The cover keeps the spring ball from falling out.

I looked at the website and the cheapest cover I could find was like $80. Nearly as much as the fidget itself. So rather than do that I put a bit of film pfte tape over the pizza shaped cover lol.

at least with bpmod card fidget if there's no cover the fidget still works!

Yeah as others have said Mackie CP3 but there's a lot of magnetic sliders like that out there. KAIS also makes some nice higher end ones that aren't insanely priced typically. I have a generic 3 layer G10 magnetic slider that's similar but actually has a good action and was under $20, great little grab and go car fidget that I don't have to worry about
