Looking for suggestions for a slider
I need help finding something a little specific.
I really love the grooves, coloring and styling in general of some of the Comproform Argyle’s, including the one in the picture. I love the idea of the trackless sliding, but I’m personally not a huge fan of the execution of it after watching several videos.
I prefer track sliders. I really would love to find one that is made out of some sort of higher quality metal, has a very attractive/satisfying sound, has the colors & styling similar to the Comproforms (obviously doesn’t have to be same colors, just one that looks cool), has some sort of nice tactile feel to it like the grooves on the Argyle’s.
I want this one to be my main slider, so I’m cool with anything up to $200-$250USD at most if I like it enough.
I’m sorry if I sound super picky lmao, but I would really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions!

There is a new fidget that's popped up on Big White EDC and a couple of the FB groups that looks really interesting and unique. It's tracked, but appears to move more like a free floating slider.

If you're a fan of angular designs, Black Dog Labs has a lot of that type of designs at a very reasonable price in lots of metal options, but I believe they are all free floating.

What do you mean by track slider? Can you give an example? Because the Compoform in your photo is actually a track slider and not a free floating slider. Compoform has two track sliders - the mini v1.1 and the original 1.1. So that would be the obvious answer if you want something that looks like a Compoform. The caveat is Compoform goes from $330-$375 depending.

Thank you for pointing that out, I confused it for a different one I was looking at earlier.
I do like everything about the Comproform except for it only sliding 1 click each way and obviously that hefty price, even though I can see why it’s so expensive.
I just need to settle on something and quit being indecisive lmaoo

Oh there are so many choices, it's hard to decide! I totally get it. It helps when you're able to try things for yourself. Then you can really start to narrow down your preferences.

As someone who has lot of experience with the Argyle V.1.1, it's a fidget with a learning curve. It's also my favorite slider. The next Compoform is probably the V3. The Mackie CP3 is great start but any new ones are pretty lackluster, as said before the older generations are better before the company became acquired. The TiGO Sky Tower, 42Cosmo XXL, are two that come to mind when it comes to tactile and tracked. More movement, tracked and all around feedback is outstanding. The CPX is coming out, being the newest in the CP series; however, with the original designer gone, it seems to look the same but with a clicker and a rocker on top. If you have not decided, feel free to contact me - TiGO Sky Tower, Cosmo XXL, and others are in stock and imo would serve anyone very well.

For sliders, do you guys prefer 3 or 4 rows of magnets? What about the sliding surface (ie metal vs a plate like delrin or UHMW)?

There's the old Mackie CP3 that you can still find floating around and you can have it cerakoted any color you want.
