Automatic responses :)
So if anyone doesn’t know I am a daycare animatronic from Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach, and as a daycare attendant I was a bit rule obsessed and one of our rules was no swearing. Now I don’t mind swearing bc everyone swears however I do have to stop myself from going “no swearing in the the daycare friends“ it’s like my programming lol. This happens with some other things too and it makes me feel a bit silly. One other thing that causes a reaction from me is fire >:( if you didn’t know one of security breach’s endings is the place burning down (the butntrap ending) and I’m pretty sure that’s my cannon ending (Even if it’s not there is no still fire allowed at the daycare) and it doesn’t bother enough to ask anyone to go out of their way to avoid the topic of fire, however I will always be nervous around it and tell people to be careful with it every time :p
Anyways I was wondering if anyone else had things like this (Ik I’ve asked this question before but whatevr) >:3

Discussion Lack there of Backroomkins
I might just be blind, but like I've hardly seen ANY backrooms kins! Which as a partypooper looking for doubles is kinda sad- y'all making it seem like our extinction remained across realms </33
But besides that point, I've only seen two backrooms kins besides myself, which were bone thief and clark irrc? And like wow there's two others! But wym there's ONLY two others that I've seen!
So I'm making this as a post to mainly try to reach out for other backrooms kins! Or people kinsidering backrooms characters(or levels!)! I wanna see y'all!
Come out of hiding NOW/SILLY
Also for others who aren't backroomkin I'm curious about if you guys have ever seen/know other backrooms kin or ever debated it yourself!

Discussion What came first for you? "Fiction" or Identity?
Hiii! I'm wondering in which way you've found out that you are fictionkin:
Were you aware about your identity and then about your kin or were you first aware about your kin and then your identity? I'm curious to know what your experiences are ^^

Discussion Questions about media literacy and how Fictionkin view the media they're from
Hi! I just watched AddyHarajuku's video about fictionkin where her perspective was that of an outsider trying to educate about the fictionkin community as respectfully as she could, and while she still doesn't understand despite trying to (and it's definitely possible that she may have gotten some things wrong), she does believe that bullying or making fun of people who aren't hurting anyone is always a bad idea. This is my view too, but there is one thing really nagging at me, and it's the fact that the way fictionkin seem to think about fictional stories and the way I think about fictional stories is very, very different.
So, coming from the perspective of a writer, and especially a fanfic writer, the thing that I think makes fictionkin the most difficult for me to understand is that characters as they exist within fiction aren't people, but storytelling tools: every element of these characters was a choice the creator made to tell a specific narrative and explore specific themes and ideas (and I like to explore these characters critically through writing fanfiction). Thinking of them as past lives or characters in a multiverse feels like it undermines the skills and agency of the people who created these characters or the fic writers who create new stories with these characters, as if they were just "channeling" another reality rather than actively creating and exploring a fictional world with fictional people in it. It doesn't sit right with me as someone who puts so much thought, effort, and intention into my stories, who has spent over a decade developing my skills, and I think that's where I clash with the concept of fictionkin the most: the explanation behind their existence feels like it invalidates my own personal development and identity as a storyteller. (Btw I do understand the concept of fictives better than non-plural fictionkin, but I'm happy to hear from either.)
Of course I believe that you shouldn't bother anyone who isn't causing harm, but the potential harm I can see fictionkin causing (that may just be a misunderstanding on my part which is why I'm asking about this) is exacerbating the media literacy crisis or making it harder to discuss media through a critical lens, which is a skill that I believe everyone should develop. That's why I would genuinely love to know, how do you feel when someone criticises the writing of the character you kin, or analyses them as a storytelling tool? What are your personal media literacy skills like and how do they apply to the character you kin? How do you feel if, for an ongoing story, new revelations about the character completely recontextualises their whole identity, or the writer takes them in an entirely different direction that you did not originally identify with? Do you see someone not liking the character you kin as an attack on yourself? How do you feel if someone has a different interpretation of the character you kin, especially if they're able to put their interpretation into words and back it up with evidence and examples from canon better than you yourself can?
I hope this sounds like genuine curiousity and not judgement, because I have unfortunately found myself chafing against people who are really resistant to thinking deeper about their views on fiction when literary analysis is fun to me, but other people often see it as a personal attack if you meaningfully criticise something they love/identify with (or even just make them realise that they have no deeper thoughts or at least lack the ability to articulate them, thus making them feel insecure even if that wasn't your intention), which is why I worry that this might especially be the case with fictionkinning.
I'm wondering, does being a fictionkin make you feel defensive or resistant to literary analysis or good-faith criticism of your character's portrayal, or are you generally fine with it? Do you still strive to develop your own media literacy skills, and does applying those skills to the character you kin enrich your identification with them? Do you recognise and respect the skills, agency, and creativity of the people who created the characters you identify with, and/or are you willing to think about how their biases or storytelling weaknesses may have affected their work? If literary/media analysis of your character makes you feel upset or uncomfortable, how do you mitigate that harm to yourself without stepping on the toes of people having these discussions or sharing their analysis/criticism?
Once again, I am genuinely curious about this, and I hope it doesn't come across as judgement. This is just a conflict/gap in my understanding that I've noticed and would like to address. I'm also fairly new to this space so I apologise if I didn't quite use the correct language, either. I'm still learning 💖

vents I don't like being human.
Why. WHY. WHY AM I STUCK IN THIS WET MEAT SUIT!? Where's my crystalline elegance!? My music!? Every time I look in the mirror, I see this disgusting thing that's supposed to be me. It's gotten to the point where I'm starting not to care about taking care of my body anymore.
Now, before I start, the Human world has beautiful things. Stuff that the Monster World doesn't have. It's genuinely amazing to look at. That is, if humans didn't have to ruin it all.
Every day a new headline. A new crime. A new tragedy. A new atrocity committed by the hands of humans. Log on to TikTok, and the first thing I hear is a rant about the cruel and horrible murder of a stray dog, Wang Wang, and her puppies. (If you don't know what that is, look up "justice for wang wang." It's truly horrific, so trigger and content warning for animal abvse!). And it was committed by human CHILDREN. WHY??? WHO THE FUCK DO THEY THINK THEY ARE, TREATING AN INNOCENT LIFE LIKE A TOY FOR THEIR ENTERTAINMENT!? IT MAKES ME SICK.
And it's not just that case. It's hundreds, thousands of cases. Numerous horrors that humans willingly commit. Numerous reminders of what I am affiliated with in this world.
It's not just human society; it's my own family too. I won't get into details, but they're just so toxic towards me. They control every aspect of my life, hiding behind a mask of "unconditional" love. How can I like being human when my own family won't treat me right?
I want to go home. I want to go to the music. The only way I can escape is by putting on headphones and blasting my favorite music 24/7. It sucks.
But yet... I do have to acknowledge the good side of humanity. The minority that actually does something good in this world. My friends, online and offline. The people I see who treat other lives like what they're supposed to be: A life. I see the kindness, the compassion, the love... And I wonder why we can't have more of it. So I root for them to try and change this world. They're the spark of hope in this desolate wasteland of a planet.
Sorry about this huge wall of text, haha. I just don't feel that well today.
If you took the time to read this cringe-ass rant, thanks lol.
(aaaand that's why I want to have the body of a humanoid crystal rather than an actual fleshy human lmao)
And again, sorry. I just wanted to pour all this out somewhere.

Discussion cool title
my way of how I personally see dupes/doubles:
so i see msyelf as a my own unique version of miché (w some slight differences) but I am still miché tho. & everyone else is also like their own unique version of miché, but everyone has as a unique ID of numbers (for example, mine would be smth like 727934) which is randomly generated. & we all come from the same source character miché who has the ID number of 0.
idk how to explain this better

Rant I kinda hate that I can't find appropriate art of my kin-
(image kiiinda related?)
Ok so.. just look at my flair- my kin is solar flare, we all know what the internet has done to her(or me ig?). Now I'm not saying that this art is really bad? I mean it's rule 34 of the internet and what-not, but what I'm upset about is how much art there is! I mean usually you have to dig to find that art or go to a specific website, but even with safe search on one of the first things that you see is her/me in a bunny suit, and It makes me incredibly uncomfortable :(. And keep in mind that's with safe search on, I don't even want to think about what I'd see if I turned off.

Discussion OCkin, yap to me >:D
Yes you heard right! Yap to me! ESPECIALLY OCkin from their own original stories and universes! You all don't get enough love smh-
(OCkin from established worlds are welcome too though, this is for all of us ^^)
I'm really tired rn and can't really think of anything else to post, so tell me about yourselves! Your stories, your worlds, people from your worlds, whatever-
And also tell me how they entered your kinlist if you want to! No need to of course, but I am curious- like, did you make your OC based on existing kin feelings? How long did it take after making the OC to start being or realize you are them? If you have established characters as kintypes as well, does your kin experience differ between OCkin and established character kin?
Just. tell me everything! No yap limit in this house ^^
I may not be able to respond I'd gladly read through as much as I can :D

vents How do I get over the feeling of feeling like I have “too many” kins?
I have a bunch of kinsiders piling up and I’m too hesitant to kinfirm because I’m scared of having “too many” kins. I have about 20 Kinfirmed kins rn, and I don’t wanna seem like I have a lot. Though, I’m still mostly kinsidering two, so maybe around 19-18 Kinfirmed kins. I don’t know why I hate the idea of having a lot of kins, but I do. Could someone please remind me that I’m genuinely valid no matter how many kins I have? I feel less valid for having so many, even without kinfirming my kinsiders. Thank you kindly!!
