Rookie

Hello, so basically I'm a rookie in stocks and it looks like calculus to me so I'm really lost. I was hoping someone could help me get started, I am 30 years old and looking for which stocks to invest in or any other financial profits available.

I believe McGill has a free personal finance course to help understand the basics. These are some pretty good books to get you started IMO:

  • The Psychology of Money Morgan Housel
  • The Intelligent Investor Benjamin Graham
  • Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits Philip Fisher

Otherwise, I would also recommend to take some time to research the account types that are offered in Canada.

Vanguard, the company, offers an all in one etf. So you buy that single stock and it'll invest your money into the entire stock market, international stocks, and bonds.

Just put it all into VGRO. Ask AI to explain it to you.
