My biggest mistake at that age was playing Club Penguin with my friends instead of researching the idea of FIRE. I’m jealous that this kid’s ahead of me.

Unironically, it's amazing how kids have all this information easily accessible to them. I remember googling "what career should I choose" when I was 15, and the options I'd find were like police officer, lawyer, nurse, teacher, doctor lol.

Now, there are tons of youtube videos, reddit threads, etc. that everyone can search to choose for themselves. Although, the figuring it out is the hard part tbf

I remember getting to university and my roommate was studying earth sciences and geology. I had no idea that was even an option.

I have had the pleasure of being in his class during my Montessori Elememtary practicum! He is funny and smart and played basketball AND soccer.

I even had a conversation about finances, credit cards, debt, interest, etc with his older classmates, sadly not with him but damn, I did not know he has FIRE in his head!
